US alleges Iran of helping in war crimes by sending drones to Russia

According to White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, Iran may be complicit in war crimes in Ukraine by providing drones to Russia.

Sullivan stated that these weapons are being used to kill civilians and damage infrastructure in Ukraine, potentially constituting widespread war crimes.

In response, the United States has already imposed sanctions on individuals and companies believed to be involved in the production or transfer of Iranian drones to Russia for use in attacks on Ukrainian civilian targets.

The US is also reportedly considering additional measures, including sanctions and export controls, to target Iran’s production of unmanned weaponized aircraft.
