Amit Shah to hold crucial meet with J-K BJP leaders today

New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah will hold a crucial meeting with top leaders of the Jammu and Kashmir unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party at his residence in the state capital today at 9 pm, sources said.
According to sources, the meeting is likely to discuss a number of issues including security, politics, and other issues.

BJP leaders like J-K party president Ravinder Raina, Kavinder Gupta, and Incharge Jammu, and Kashmir Tarun Chugh will be present in the meeting.

The meeting comes in the wake of recent terror attacks in the Kashmir Valley, with the Rajouri terror incident being the latest in which 7 civilians were killed in two separate firings.

One more civilian succumbed to his injuries, taking the death toll to seven in two separate firings in Dhangri area of ​​Rajouri district, officials said on Sunday.

Notably, six civilians including two children were killed and many others injured in two terrorist attacks in Upper Dangri village of Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district last Sunday evening and Monday morning.

Following the killing incident on January 1, local residents of Dhangri village demanded the deployment of forces to beef up security in the area.

The Union Home Ministry has ordered the deployment of 18 more companies to Jammu and Kashmir in the wake of the killing of civilians in two terror attacks in the Rajouri district.
