Covid restrictions in Mumbai due to increasing of Covid, till January 7

Mumbai: In view of the rising COVID-19 instances, the Mumbai Police on Thursday has imposed Section 144 in the city beginning from nowadays till January 7.

As per the new COVID-19 restrictions, prohibition has been located on New Year’s celebrations, events in any closed or open area along with restaurants, hotels, bars, pubs, resorts, and golf equipment from December 30 to January 7.

“The order shall come into the pressure, withinside the regions beneath neath the manage of Commissioner of Police, Greater Mumbai from 00:00 Hrs of thirtieth December 2021 and could stay in pressure until 24:00 Hrs of seventh January 2022, except withdrawn earlier,” the order reads.

“Any man or woman contravening this order will be punishable beneath neath segment 188 of Indian Penal Code 1860 further to the penal provision beneath neath the Epidemic Diseases Act 1897 and National Disaster Management Act 2005 and different criminal provisions as applicable,” stated Chaitanya S, Deputy Commissioner of Police.
