Delhi Car Horror Case: All 6 accused sent to 14-day Judicial Custody

All six men – accused in the gruesome case of a Delhi woman, which was announced on New Year’s Day – were sent to judicial custody for 14 days on Monday.

A Rohini court in Delhi was hearing a bail plea filed against Ashutosh, one of the accused arrested in the incident. The court fixed the next hearing for Tuesday at 12:30 p.m.

It has already come to light that the accused men were aware during their custodial interrogation that they were dragging the victim’s body under the wheels.

Anjali Singh (20) was killed in the early hours of January 1 when her scooter hit a Maruti Suzuki Baleno, after which her body stuck to the car and was dragged 12 kilometers from Sultanpuri to Kanjhawala.

Delhi Police initially arrested five men in the case last Monday – Deepak Khanna (26), Amit Khanna (25), Krishan (27), Mithun (26), and Manoj Mittal. The sixth accused – Ashutosh – was arrested on Friday and remanded in police custody for three days.

Police said it was Ashutosh who gave the car to Amit, Krishan, Mithun, and Manoj on December 31. After the incident, he tried to help them get away and gave false information to the police in an attempt to mislead investigators.

Meanwhile, another accused, Ankush Khanna, who surrendered to the police, was granted bail on Saturday.
