Delhi Police issue guidelines for New year eve

Delhi traffic police issued guidelines to ensure the smooth flow of traffic on the eve of the new year. He said serious action would be taken against drunken driving case, stunts performing on bikes, speeding and reckless driving among other offenses.

Vivek Kishore, Commissioner of Police (Traffic), said no vehicle would be allowed to continue towards the Connaught area beyond Round about Mandi House, Round about Bengali Market, North foot of Ranjit Singh Flyover (Barakhamba Road- Tolstoy Marg Crossing). , Minto Road – Deen Dayal Upadhaya Marg crossing, Chelmsford Road near Munje Chowk (New Delhi Railway Station).

Only those with pre-authorized booking receipts from hotels and restaurants will be allowed.

People can park their cars on parked roads near Gole Dak Khana, Patel Chowk, Mandi House, Minto Road, Panchkuian Road, K.G. Marg-Ferozshah Road, Bengali Market, Windsor Place, Rajender Prasad Road, Raisina Road, Gole Market and Butka Singh on Jantar Mantar Road, and Raisina Road, a police officer said.

Parking will also be limited to Connaught Place on the eve of the new year. Kishore said only limited parking spaces for vehicles with valid corridors would be allowed on arrival. To get to the New Delhi railway station, an official ordered people to take Ram Manohar Lohiya Park, Round about GPO, Round about Winsor Place.

Therefore, these strict rule advised by the Delhi traffic police authority are very crucial if Covid-19 situation is recognized.
