FIR filed against Samajwadi Party for violation of Covid protocols, Sec.144 violate

Lucknow: An FIR has been filed against the Akhilesh Yadav-led Samajwadi party at Gautam Palli Police Station in Lucknow for violating the Code of Conduct and disregarding Covid19 protocols.

The measure was taken after a large crowd gathered at the SP office on Friday afternoon to join former BJP minister Swami Prasad Maurya, Dharam Singh Saini, and other party lawmakers.

Lucknow District Judge Abhishek Prakash said the Samajwadi party’s virtual demonstration took place without prior authorization.

“After receiving the information, a police team was sent to the SP headquarters. Measures will be taken based on their report,” he said, adding that Article 144 regulates the state capital.

The head of the Uttar Pradesh unit of the Samajwadi Party, Naresh Uttam Patel, said: “It was a virtual event in the Inside” Our party’s office. We didn’t call anyone, but people came. People work according to Covid protocols.”

He went on to say, “There were crowds even outside the doors of the BJP ministers and in the markets, but they only have one problem with us.

” The Election Commission of India (ECI) announced on January 8 a ban on physical demonstrations amid rising Covid cases in parts of the country.
