Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday hailed Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for winning an unprecedented second term and said it was the first time a Chief Minister had been elected for a second term in Uttar Pradesh, India’s largest.
After the historic victories in the general elections, Prime Minister Modi addressed the BJP workers: “We had previously said that Holi will start on March 10th…It is a ‘Victory 4’ by our NDA workers.
Thank you all voters for taking part in this celebration of democracy and for ensuring the BJP that victory.” “All the exit polls have been proven wrong in Goa.
The BJP has made a new history in Uttarakhand, for the first time one party comes for a second consecutive term in the state,” the prime minister said.
“When we formed the government in 2019 (in the middle) the ‘experts’ said it was because of the victory of 2017 (in UP)… I think the same ‘experts’ will say that the result of the 2022 elections will decide the fate of the 2024 national elections,” added the Prime Minister.
The BJP has swept the UP Assembly polls with the party leadership and total wins with 274 out of 403 seats.
The party has clearly exceeded the magic number of 202 seats in the country. The BJP has also gained three more states of Uttarakhand, Goa, and Manipur.
