Shimla: Ahead of the Himachal Pradesh assembly polls slated for next month, the BJP on Sunday inaugurated its new office in Shimla.
The new BJP Shimla mandal office on Mall Road was inaugurated by BJP leader Ganesh Dutt.
Mr. Dutt exuded confidence in the BJP’s return to power in Himachal Pradesh. He also expressed confidence over BJP candidate Sanjay Sood’s victory from Shimla Urban seat.
Speaking on the occasion, Ganesh Dutt said, “BJP will definitely win this seat (Shimla Urban) and we will form a strong government in the state. Congress has no agenda to contest elections and their stories of corruption are well known.”
Sanjay Sood, a 57-year-old tea seller by profession, has been given a BJP ticket from the Shimla Urban constituency.
He submitted his nomination on Friday and started his election campaign on Saturday.
Ever since he got ticket from BJP, he has been grabbing eyeballs in the hill station. Mr. Sood has been part of the BJP since 1980 and served as Shimla city councillor.
