Google will give search results in nanoseconds, not seconds, this big work done in India

Agra: Union Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Rajiv Chandrashekhar said that there are 80 countries in the world that do not have a single internet exchange but in India their number has increased from four to 44.

The number of Internet exchanges will be 75 by March 2022. The search time on the Internet will be reduced from milliseconds to nanoseconds and with this, the world will be in India’s fist.

At present, India has the largest number of 84 million internet users. Multilingual Internet will be promoted to bring 400 million Indians online in the future.

Minister of State Rajiv Chandrashekhar said this in a special conversation with Dainik Jagran before launching the Internet Exchange at Hotel Holiday Inn Auditorium on Thursday.

Inaugurating the Internet exchange through a virtual medium at Lucknow, Meerut, Kanpur, Varanasi, Prayagraj, and Gorakhpur, he said that now residents of these cities will get the facility of high-speed internet. In a month, internet speed will increase even in the radius of 100 km of these cities.

Net facilities will be easily available even in inaccessible areas. Students studying online, youth associated with work from home and government departments, non-government institutions will have convenience in their online work.

In a conversation, he said that Agra and Meerut would soon be developed as IT hubs on the lines of MedTech-Center of Entrepreneurship established in Lucknow, so that along with promoting startup culture, employment opportunities would be created.

He said that UP was known as crime and backward but now this state is being known as technological and basic facilities. Air connectivity and highways have reduced the distance. Today, global investors want to invest in Noida IT hub instead of Bangalore and Hyderabad.

In the future, similar possibilities are there in Lucknow, Agra, and Meerut. He said that today India is the largest startup ecosystem in the world.

Medical electronics are of special importance in this scenario. From January 2021 we are increasing 2 unicorns every month. We are the fastest growing economy after recovering from Covid.

We have received the highest FDI as compared to other countries of the world. When Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched Digital India in 2014, he set 3 objectives i.e. technology enablement, digital economy, entrepreneurship, and employment, and made India a global country in the emerging technology sector.

We have changed the lives of citizens through the use of technology and today if we are sending Rs 100, citizens are getting the same amount in their account. These are the advantages of technology.

He told about the Multilingual Internet Scheme that its aim is to bring the next 400 million Indians online. The establishment of fundamental and structural blocks for issues related to the international domain name, search engine,s and emails in Indian languages is the need of the hour.

Search engines and email addresses are what the government has to normalize and a roadmap should be prepared according to the stakeholders to take this initiative forward.

A stakeholder working group will be set up to create a roadmap on the fundamental issues of universal acceptance and multilingual internet. It will also address cyber security issues.

He told that the technology has reached the Gram Panchayats, now every house of the Gram Panchayat has to be made digital. He said that democratic countries need to think about fixing security, trust, and accountability about the Internet because the Internet has no boundaries.

The service providers will increase

The Minister of State said that at present there are 209 service providers. Till now there was internet exchange only in Noida. But, now with the creation of new exchanges in seven cities, it will be easier for Internet service provider companies to provide facilities. It is expected that the number of service provider companies may increase in the coming time.

Internet users on the rise in the country

The Minister of State said that the number of Internet users in the country is increasing continuously. After the city, now the use of internet has increased in villages and towns as well.

According to the information, in the last few years, the number of people using BroadBand has increased from 25 crores to about 84 crores.

Data consumption has increased up to 189 times. When asked questions about 5G internet, he said that India is going to launch 5G Eye soon. No one has been able to launch it yet. When India will launch the 5G Eye, then different countries of the world will also launch it.
