Indian Institute of Management Bodh Gaya (IIM BG) with a commitment to cleanliness and sustainability, hosted the Swachhata Pakhwada event, organized by Pragati- the CSR Committee of the institute. The event exemplifies the institute’s dedication to fostering a healthier future and nurturing socially responsible leaders.
It served as a poignant reminder that cleanliness is not just a duty but a way of life that benefits every member of the IIM Bodh Gaya community. The event was organized with three major activities.
On Sunday, September 3, 2023, the Swachhata Pakhwada event which was attended by faculty, students and the workers began with an engaging Nukkad Natak which touched the hearts of everyone present. Crafted to resonate with both workers and students, the play delivered powerful messages on cleanliness and inspired a collective responsibility for preserving a pristine campus environment.
It was followed by the Swachhata Pledge in which the participants pledged commitment to maintaining cleanliness as an integral part of their lives, emphasizing the significance of this duty.
On Saturday, September 9, 2023, the campus came alive as faculty members, students and staff members involved themselves in the cleanliness drive on campus.
Along with the students, a few faculty members including Dr. Muhammed Ashiq V, Dr. Nanda Choudary, Dr. Ashish Sharma, Dr. Sreelekha Mishra, Dr. Raveesh Krishnankutty, Dr. Srividya Raghavan etc. joined forces for an extensive campus cleanliness drive. Together, they tackled various areas within the campus premises, armed with brooms and bins, working diligently to transform their academic haven into an even more inspiring environment.
The event has left an indelible mark on the IIM Bodh Gaya community, reminding everyone that together we can achieve remarkable milestones in the pursuit of keeping our nature clean.
