PM Modi thanks world leaders for their greetings on India’s 76th R-Day

On India’s 76th Republic Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed gratitude to world leaders for their warm wishes, emphasizing the deepening friendships and partnerships between India and its neighboring nations.

In response to a post by Nepal’s Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, PM Modi thanked him for his warm greetings, saying, “Thank you for your warm wishes, Prime Minister @kpsharmaoli. As India completes 75 years of its Republic, we also deeply cherish the historical bonds of the friendship between the people of our two nations. I am confident it will continue to grow in times to come.”

Oli had extended his congratulations to India, stating, “On the occasion of the 76th Republic Day of India, I extend my warmest congratulations to Prime Minister @narendramodi and the people of India. May the ideals of democracy and national unity flourish evermore, fostering deeper ties of friendship between our two nations.”

PM Modi also thanked Maldives President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu for his Republic Day greetings, emphasizing the enduring partnership between India and the Maldives. “Thank you President @MMuizzu for your wishes on India’s Republic Day. I fully share your sentiment regarding the long-standing partnership between India and Maldives. We are committed to deepen these bonds of friendship and cooperation,” Modi wrote.

In his message, Muizzu had highlighted the strong bonds of mutual trust and respect shared between the two nations, pledging to strengthen their strategic partnership.

On a similar note, in response to Bhutan Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay’s message, PM Modi expressed appreciation for the unique partnership between India and Bhutan. “Thank you my friend PM @tsheringtobgay for your warm wishes on the completion of 75 years of the Indian Republic. We also greatly value the unique and special partnership between India and Bhutan,” he said.

Tobgay had wished India a joyous Republic Day and celebrated the nation’s spirit of unity and vision that continues to inspire the world.

PM Modi also thanked former Nepal Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and former Maldives President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih for their kind wishes, reiterating the importance of the strong ties of friendship between India and both countries.

India celebrated its 76th Republic Day with a grand display of its cultural heritage and military might on the Kartavya Path in New Delhi. The celebration included more than 30 tableaux from 16 state governments, Union Territories, and ministries, reflecting the year’s theme of ‘Swarnim Bharat: Virasat aur Vikas.’

Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto was the chief guest at this year’s Republic Day event, attended by around 10,000 special guests, recognized as the architects of ‘Swarnim Bharat’ (Golden India). The celebrations highlighted India’s progress and its commitment to strengthening international partnerships.
