Prashant Bhushan,Manda Krishna Madiga join Congress’ Bharat Jodo Yatra in Telangana

Hyderabad: Activist-lawyer Prashant Bhushan on Sunday joined the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ led by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on its 60th day in Telangana.

Manda Krishna Madiga, leader of the Reservation Porata Samiti (MRPS), an organization campaigning for SC categorization, also joined the rally that continued this morning from Alladurg in Medak district, party sources said.

“It’s the 60th day of #BharatJodoYatra and it started like every morning with Pyari Jan of the Seva Dal of Mysuru leading the singing of the National Song, Dhwaj Geet, and the National Anthem.

Today we will move from Medak to Kamareddy district,” Congress General Secretary, in charge of communication, Jairam Ramesh tweeted.

Addressing a rally in Medak district’s Peddapur village on Saturday, Gandhi claimed that unemployment and price hikes have been rampant in the country since 2014.

The foot march entered the state on October 23 and the Telangana leg will end on Monday, sources added.

The Wayanad MP will address a public meeting in the Kamareddy district on Monday.

The Bharat Jodo Yatra started on September 7 from Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu.
