The Nagaland government on Monday created three new districts in the province, bringing in a total of 15 districts.
The three new districts are Tseminyu, Niuland and Chumukedima.
“The governor of Nagaland is pleased to develop the Tseminyu sub-district into a fully fledged district as soon as possible. The new district administration will cover the existing part of Tseminyu under Kohima district, Nagaland,” reads a notice issued by the Nagaland government.

“The Governor of Nagaland is pleased to develop the division of Niuland into a fully fledged region as soon as possible.The jurisdiction of the new district shall comprise of the existing Niuland subdivision under Dimapur district, Nagaland,” it added.
