Government of West Bengal announced relaxation in the Covid-19 restrictions in the State. Local trains and metros in the State of WB, will run at 75% occupancy from February 1.
During the emergence and increase in cases of Covid-19 during the peak of third wave of the Pandemic, the government reduced the capacity to 50%. After decrease in the case tally of Covid-19, state government announced this step.
Several studies and sources confirmed that the testing level in the West Bengal is below average as compared to other states in terms of Population. The unidentified deaths in the state are also reported under some studies.
India caught around 2 lakh new cases of the Pandemic. One of the major reason behind tackling the pandemic with this proficiency is also categorized as the labor put forward by the Medical staff of the nation. Hence, the third wave proved vaccination as an effective weapon to fight the Pandemic.
