New Delhi: Huge drama unfolded in Shaheen Bagh in Delhi on Monday (9 May 2022) as Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Congress workers in the area protested to end the campaign against the ongoing invasion of the citizenry hinder.
South Delhi Municipal Corporation then filed a complaint against AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan and his supporters. The Citizens Authority filed a complaint against AAP MLA after the Mayor of South Delhi, Mukesh Suryan, wrote to them.
In a complaint to the Shaheen Bagh SHO, the SDMC Central Zone License Inspector said that a trespassing removal campaign was scheduled for Monday on the main street of Shaheen Bagh and his staff and police officers were present at the scene to carry out the action.
“Amanatullah Khan MLA (Okhla) along with his supporters present did not allow SDMC zone field workers to clear the invasion.
In view of the foregoing, you are urged to take appropriate legal action against Amanatullah Khan and his supporters for interfering with the performance of official duties by government officials,” the complaint reads.
Action in Shaheen Bagh but protests erupted as soon as authorities bulldozed there and were forced to return from Shaheen Bagh without conducting the exercise.
