Arlene appeared on BBC Breakfast earlier today and the subject of Strictly came up.
Presenter Ben Thompson said: “When you’re on a project like that right from the beginning, it is such a little bubble isn’t it, and you worked so closely together so you inevitably are forming bonds, aren’t you?”
The dance legend opened up about her time on the show and even hinted at a secret feud.
Arlene said: “Yeah, you form a bond with some, you actually can’t stand others, but you know that’s life.”
She continued: “But you do form a bond and you know, I miss it.
“I miss being part of that crazy, crazy life.”
Arlene was on the panel alongside Craig Revel Horwood, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli.
In 2008 it was revealed that Arlene was going to leave the show and was to be replaced by Alesha Dixon.
Last year the star joined the judging panel as a special guest on Dancing On Ice.
A TV insider said: “ITV have been keen to get Arlene on board and have been talking to her for months about her guest slot on the show.
“She has decades of dance experience under her belt which producers wanted to draw on and enhance the panel even further.
“Plus, audiences will be thrilled to see her back judging on primetime TV, just as she once was on Strictly.”
