The show will launch early next month and will be named Talk Today.

It’s set to bring a mix of news and views to screens, while broadcasting daily from 6am to 9.30am.

Nicola and Jeremy will anchor the exciting new show from Monday through to Thursday, and hosts for Friday and the weekend are yet to be announced.

Nicola said: “It’s a dream come true to be co-hosting the brand-new breakfast show Talk Today. I’ve been part of the TalkTV family for the past 18 months, during which time I’ve connected with people who have challenged my opinions and taught me how to find common ground across the political divide.

“I’m looking forward to hearing from our viewers all over the UK about what matters most to them and holding politicians to account. It’s important to both me and Jeremy that everyone gets a voice.”

And Jeremy shared: “I began my career on breakfast shows, so Talk Today feels like coming home. There’s something very special about being in the slot that sets the news agenda for the day. I’m hugely excited to be working with Nicola.

“We have become great pals off camera, so it’ll be fantastic to bring that friendship to the show. We’ll talk with the audience about the issues that affect the whole country rather than only the few. And, of course, we’ll have some fun.”

Almost four years after his long-running ITV chat show ended, Jeremy Kyle returned to screens last year.

The host once dubbed the King of Daytime launched a new evening show, saying he finally feels strong enough to step back in front of the camera.

His new show, Jeremy Kyle Live, launched on TalkTV, and came ahead of pal Piers Morgan’s slot on the same channel.

Prior to this, the TV star hosted The Jeremy Kyle Show, which ran for seventeen series until its cancellation on 10 May 2019.

Jeremy’s co-host Nicola is a TV star, newspaper columnist and former Coronation Street actress.

She quickly become a fan favourite on the show, after she was introduced as evil Pat Phelan‘s daughter playing Nicola Rubinstein.

Nicola first came to public attention in 2016 when she was sacked for refusing to wear high heels while working as a temp receptionist.

She then became a high profile campaigner to change the dress code laws.

Her petition on the issue was signed by more than 150,000 people.

Nicola first auditioned for Coronation Street in 2015.

She screen tested to play Kate Connor, but didn’t get the part.

She previously played Clara Oswold’s mum, Ellie, in Doctor Who in 2013.

In the seven years prior to getting her Corrie role, she also starred in Doctors, Father Brown and The Guilty.
