Covid boosters not needed for Meta employees in US offices

Facebook parent of Meta Platforms will stop insisting that employees have Covid booster shots to come to their US facilities, a CNBC spokesman said Friday.

Technology companies have started a program to lure their employees back to their corporate campuses. Meta, along with Microsoft, hosted a comprehensive opening of US offices on Monday.

“We reviewed our requirements at the beginning of March to comply with the CDC guidelines, and now the Covid-19 upgrades are no longer required to be implemented, although highly recommended,” a spokesman said in an email. “The first requirement for vaccination (one or two rifle series) remains.”
