Huge ITV star set to join Holly Willoughby as new co-host on This Morning in latest shake-up

GOOD Morning Britain star Ben Shephard is joining This Morning on Monday.

The huge ITV star has been assigned as Holly Willoughby’s latest co-host on the lunchtime show.

Ben, 48, will make his This Morning debut at 10am on Monday morning, stepping in for Irish star Craig Doyle, 50.

Alison Hammond, 48, and Dermot O’Leary, 50, announced Ben’s signing at the end of Friday’s show.


Alison shared: “Holly will be back on Monday when she’s gonna be presenting alongside the lovely Ben Shephard.”

Dermot added: “Yeah, as it should be!”

Holly has been seen on the sofa with a revolving line-up of co-presenters since Phillip Schofield left the ITV breakfast fixture earlier this year.

He exited after 21 years having admitted to an affair with a younger staff member.


In an exclusive interview with The Sun, he answered all the questions fans of This Morning and beyond have wanted to know.

Phil addressed everything from his affair with a younger colleague, to his broken friendship with Holly.

The former This Morning star also spoke about his wife’s reaction to his infidelity, and how his daughters’ have saved his life throughout this tough time.

Welsh TV legend Steve Jones also stepped in alongside Holly earlier this month.


Dad-of-two Ben has been working in the TV industry since the late 1990s.

His career has seen him host some of Britain’s most loved shows.

As well as GMB, Ben is best known for his shows Tipping Point and Ninja Warrior UK.
