A PIRATE-THEMED resort in Majorca has been described as both “exciting” and “unforgettable” by guests, with plenty already planning return trips.
Keeping youngsters entertained on holiday isn’t always easy, but when your resort is entirely pirate-themed, there’s a few more options to choose from.

It has slides and pools for younger guests to enjoy on their holiday[/caption]
The resort is all-inclusive and families have given it glowing reviews[/caption]
Families who visit Pirates Village in Santa Ponsa are promised to be “immersed in a world of pirates and fantasy where you will lack for nothing” according to its website.
The resort claims: “You only have to worry about one thing: having fun and enjoying yourself.”
On the face of it, Pirates Village has pretty much everything you might expect from an all-inclusive holiday resort.
That includes swimming pools, sports and play areas and bars and restaurants.
However, its buccaneer theme makes it more than just your average Spanish seaside hotel.
The pool has waterfalls, caverns and slides, while there’s also a pirate’s tower and plank that guests could be made to walk if they’re not careful.
The on-site entertainment sticks to the theme too, from pirate shows to even being raided on a Sunday by the swashbuckling staff.
The website says: “At our hotel, every night is a night of fun, magic and entertainment.
“Staying with us, you can enjoy the best shows on the island during our pirate nights.
“We offer you dancing, shows and amazing performances that will leave you with your mouth open… And every day something different.
“Can you imagine being boarded by funny pirates during your holiday? Fear not! Their attack is guaranteed fun and entertainment for the whole family.
“Our pirates will try to attack the hotel, but thanks to your help and that of our youngest guests, you’re sure to prevent them from succeeding.
“But beware… they will try to throw you overboard, so don’t get caught!”
Even the dining areas are pirate-related, with the Pirate Tavern offering both British favourites and international delicacies.
Parents don’t have to play pirates with their youngsters for the entirety of their holiday however, with the Pirate’s Cavern offering an indoor cooled area, an outdoor covered area and an outdoor uncovered area for children.
It has a range of equipment, including a stage, a bouncy castle, interactive computers and games and parents can leave their children there with staff between 10am and 5pm every day.
There are other activities on offer for guests of all ages too, including mermaid classes, darts and pool activities.
The Platja de Santa Ponça beach is less than ten minutes’ walk away for anyone looking to avoid pirate raids or just take a break by the sea.
The resort has an overall rating of 4/5 on TripAdvisor.
One guest wrote: “A really exciting, fun, family holiday.”
Another said: “A holiday we will never forget.”
A third added: “We’re looking forward to our stay again there next year.”
