She will be the voice behind the Meep, the iconic creature adapted from The Star Beast comic strip.
Speaking about joining the iconic Beeb series, Miriam humorously said: “I’m relieved I got to work on Doctor Who before I died.
“With sci-fi you never know. Thank you for making an old woman very happy.”
Three special episodes of Doctor Who will broadcast in November to mark the show’s 60th anniversary.
Returning to his role as the fourteenth doctor is David Tennant, who will be back on screen with Catherine Tate.
Sex Education’s Ncuti Gatwa will make his on screen debut as the fifteenth doctor over the Christmas period later this year.
The Sun previously revealed how BBC bosses are lining up Hollywood actor Ryan Gosling for the special episodes.
But it is not yet known if he will be in the pink as a good guy or dolled up as a baddie.
Ryan, 43, admitted last year he was a huge fan of the BBC1 sci-fi classic.
And Ncuti, 30, told how Ryan couldn’t wait to meet him when on the Barbie set.
