A NINETIES pop legend is unrecognisable after a major hair makeover and his reality show career.

But when he impressed a sound engineer Ryan landed himself his very own solo recording contract.

After signing on the dotted line with Atlantic Records, Ryan released his debut album On The Way Down.

His debut album Take it All Away ranked at number eight on the Billboard 200 album chart and sold over 66,000 copies in the first week, certifying platinum.

Ryan, who is now 42, was known for his unique liberty spikes hairstyle back in the noughties.

But nowadays he sports a completely new style a bleach blonde quiff and tightly trimmed sides.

The singer had a romance with actress Ashlee Simpson in 2004 before they split a year later.

Ryan has also had multiple television appearances and even hosted his very own show.

In 2005 he hosted Score, a show that saw write and perform songs to win the heart of a guest on the show.

He also starred in several episodes of The Ashlee Simpson Show and in the final series of MTV’s The Hills.
