PRINCE Harry teased a “competition” with his wife Meghan Markle as he opened the Invictus Games without her.
The Duke of Sussex, 38, gave an address to a packed crowd in Dusseldorf, Germany as he launched the 2023 Invictus Games on Saturday.
During his speech, the Prince hinted at a friendly competition with the Duchess of Sussex, as they both support nations close to their hearts during the games.
“Now I’m not saying we play favourites in our home,” the Duke said. “But since my wife has discovered that she is of Nigerian descent, it’s likely to get a little more competitive this year.”
Harry made the trip without his wife Meghan Markle, who is looking after their two children, but it’s understood she will join him at the games later.
