RUTH Langsford shared a health update this evening as she returned to work after being forced to miss the NTAs.
Presenter Ruth, 63, had been battling a chest infection and cough, which didn’t seem to be shifting – despite trying plenty of remedies.

Taking to her Instagram Story, the TV personality shared a mirror selfie from a lift at the QVC studios.
While she’s best known for being a Loose Women panellist on ITV, she’s also a presenter for the shopping channel.
Wearing a nude jacket and jeans, Ruth accessorised with a pair of sunglasses and lugged lots of bags with her.
She wrote, “First day back at work!! I’m not being mysterious… just didn’t have a free hand to take my sunglasses off!! See you at 7.00 pm.”
After making herself comfortable in the glam room, Ruth took some mirror selfies with her hair stylist and make-up artist.
Her co-stars represented the show at Tuesday’s National Television Awards, but her absence didn’t go unnoticed.
Loose Women were one of the shows nominated for the Daytime award at the ceremony.
But they were piped to the post by The Repair Shop.
Ruth shared a reel of her homemade remedies after she was given recommendations by fans.
She boiled turmeric, ginger, lemon, orange, whiskey, cinnamon and cloves in her kitchen.
Ruth warned her followers to be careful when using turmeric as it stains fingers and worktops.
“Thank you to everyone sending me home made remedies for this damn chest infection and cough,” she wrote.
She had also been sent a care package full of throat pastilles from one company.
The TV veteran was even forced to take time off Loose Women due to her sickness, which she has been a regular on since 1999.
