Fadnavis to talk with allies for Maha polls: BJP Mumbai unit chief

Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis is set to play a crucial role in negotiating with allies for the upcoming state assembly elections. According to BJP’s Mumbai unit chief, Ashish Shelar, Fadnavis will be leading the talks with various allies to forge a strong coalition for the polls.

The move comes as the BJP seeks to strengthen its position in the state, where it faces a stiff challenge from the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance. The MVA comprises the Shiv Sena, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), and Congress.

Fadnavis, a seasoned politician and former chief minister, is known for his negotiating skills and has been instrumental in forging alliances in the past. His involvement is seen as a strategic move by the BJP to ensure a united front among its allies.

The BJP is likely to hold talks with its existing allies, including the Republican Party of India (A) and the Rashtriya Samaj Paksha, as well as potential new partners. The party is also exploring options to woo disgruntled leaders from other parties to join its fold.

With the state polls expected to be held later this year, the BJP is leaving no stone unturned to ensure a victory. Fadnavis’s negotiation skills will be put to test as he works to build a strong alliance to take on the opposition.
