Among 18 subsidized projects was one organized by the Taipei City-based private Shin Hsin University. Environmental, social, and governance goals are integral to contemporary corporate enterprise strategy and the university offered a project in skills necessary to ESG social media managers.
Taipei City-headquartered private Shih Chien University implemented another project subsidized by the MOE YDA offering courses to upgrade used clothes and explore creation of zero waste design for the fashion industry.
A workshop on circular economy also demonstrated how environmental fashion could change industry chains and modes of consumption, the MOE added.
Chang Yu-yun, a graduate student from SCU Department of Fashion Design, said that through the workshop, students learned how to reuse and reshape old materials and gained deeper insight into sustainable aesthetics. (POC-E)
