The Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed the Taiwan visit of Belize’s and Haiti’s permanent representatives to the World Trade Organization, according to the MOFA.
Madsen Chérubin, ambassador and permanent representative of Haiti to the WTO, and Harold Young, ambassador and permanent representative of Belize to the WTO and the United Nations Office in Geneva, are visiting the country through Sept. 4, the ministry said, adding that Chérubin and Young have demonstrated firm support for Taiwan since taking office.
During their stay, both ambassadors will attend a reception given by Deputy Foreign Minister Chen Ming-chi; call on the Executive Yuan’s Office of Trade Negotiations, the Ministries of Finance and Justice, and the International Cooperation and Development Fund; and visit technological enterprises to gain insight into Taiwan’s democratic, economic, trade and technology development, the MOFA added.
Taiwan will continue to deepen exchanges with the two allied nations to jointly advance prosperity, the ministry concluded. (POC-E)
