Moscow struck 55 defense-industrial facilities and around ten military airfields in June, the chief of the General Staff has said

The Russian military’s campaign against Ukraine’s defense industry has significantly weakened Kiev’s ability to produce long-range weapons, Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov has said.

Gerasimov made the remarks on Friday during a high-level meeting at a forward command post of the joint forces involved in the Ukraine conflict. Russian President Vladimir Putin, Defense Minister Andrey Belousov, and other senior military and civilian officials attended the meeting.

In June alone, Russian forces struck 55 Ukrainian defense-industrial facilities, including a plant producing FP-5 Flamingo cruise missiles and multiple enterprises assembling long-range drones, Gerasimov said. Around ten military airfields were also targeted.

According to the general, the campaign has substantially degraded Ukraine’s ability to manufacture long-range strike weapons and carry out attacks deep inside Russian territory.
