Kiev’s forces have lost an estimated 315 people, with over 100 killed, during the attempted incursion, Russia’s army chief reported
Kiev’s attempted incursion into Russia’s Kursk region has been halted and Ukrainian forces have lost over 300 troops, the chief of the Russian General Staff, Valery Gerasimov, reported on Wednesday.
Reporting to Russian President Vladimir Putin, Gerasimov stated that border security services, with the help of reinforcement units, air strikes, missile forces and artillery fire, have successfully managed to stop Ukraine’s advance deep into the territory of Kursk Region.
The army chief added that Kiev’s forces suffered 315 casualties during the failed incursion, with at least 100 people killed and 215 wounded. They also lost a total of 54 armored vehicles, including seven tanks, Gerasimov said.
