Journalist Evgeny Poddubny has reportedly been seriously injured in Russia’s Kursk Region
Evgeny Poddubny, a war correspondent for the state-run TV channel Russia-1, has been wounded in Kursk Region, the broadcaster confirmed on Wednesday.
The journalist had been covering ongoing hostilities in Russia’s Kursk Region, which continued after Kiev’s forces launched a major cross-border incursion early on Tuesday.
According to preliminary information, the reporter was injured when his car was hit by a Ukrainian FPV kamikaze drone.
The journalist received “serious wounds” in the attack and has been hospitalized, the broadcaster has said.
The reporter has regained consciousness and is now receiving all the necessary treatment, interim Governor of Kursk, Aleksey Smirnov, has said.
A few hours before the attack, Poddubny published a drone video showing an apparent war crime committed by the Ukrainian troops in the Russian village of Zeleny Shlyah, located near the border.
