Best time to celebrate Janmashtami based on Drikpanchang

New Delhi: Krishna Janmashtami is celebrated annually to mark the birth of Lord Krishna. Worshiped by devotees across the country, Krishna is considered the eighth avatar of Lord Vishnu.

Also known as Gokulashtami, the festival falls in the month of Sravan according to the Hindu calendar. In the Gregorian calendar, Krishna Janmashtami is observed on August 18th and 19th this year.
