Nasal and world’s first DNA vaccine will start soon in the country, PM Modi announced

New Delhi: In view of the corona epidemic again raising its head in the country and the threat of its new variant Omicron coming to the fore, the nasal vaccine will be started soon.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself has announced this in his address given on Saturday. During this, he has also appealed to the countrymen not to be careless in dealing with the new menace of Omicron.

In his address to the nation, he said that there is strong evidence that this epidemic can be fought and won only by being careful. Therefore, do not leave the habit of using masks, cleanliness, and keeping distance from each other in any way.

Do not be afraid, complete arrangements in the country

In his address on the occasion of Christmas, he also gave some special information to the countrymen, which was also very important for the growing panic from Omicron. During this time, he told that with the rapidly emerging variants, our capability, strength, and confidence are also increasing.

The zeal to bring new things to the country is also increasing. He said that at present there are 18 lakh isolation beds in the country. Apart from this, there are 5 lakh such beds with oxygen support. Along with this, 1 lakh 40 thousand ICU beds are also available to support you in difficult times. About 90 thousand beds are available only for children.

At present, more than 3 thousand PSA oxygen plants are functioning in the country. To deal with the critical situation, about four lakh oxygen cylinders have been made available across the country.

All the states have been provided with a full stock of medicines to fight this pandemic and the new variant. Along with this, the states have also been asked to keep buffer stock. States are also being provided with adequate testing kits.

Let us tell you that the vaccination against the corona epidemic in India was started on 16 January this year. Since then, more than 141 crore people have been vaccinated across the country. More than 61 percent of India’s adult population has received both doses of the vaccine.

At the same time, about 90 percent of the people have been given a single dose of the vaccine. States like Goa, Uttarakhand, Himachal have achieved the target of 100% single-dose vaccination.
