Russian Business Centre to open in New Delhi

The Russian Embassy in India is set to inaugurate the Russian Business Center on November 12, an initiative led by the Business Council for Cooperation with India and Synergy Corporation, New Delhi. The Embassy highlighted that the main objectives of opening the center are to develop business ties between India and Russia, promote export cooperation, and provide a platform for interaction between the business communities.

The center will include a co-working space for events, regional business missions, forums, seminars, and conferences, while specialists will provide analytical support and advice on various issues.

The opening ceremony will be attended by Russian Ambassador to India, Denis Alipov, and Sergey Cheremin, Minister of the Moscow Government and Head of the Department of External Economic and International Relations of Moscow City.

Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov, who is in India for an official visit, will engage in the plenary session of the Russian-Indian Business Forum in Mumbai today. The event will center on deepening economic and business relations between the two nations, according to the Russian Embassy.

The bilateral relationship between India and Russia has remained strong and stable for over 75 years, with both countries committed to a multipolar world. While traditionally focused on military, nuclear, and space cooperation, the partnership has expanded into new areas in recent years.

In the past two years, bilateral trade has surged, surpassing the USD 30 billion target set for 2025. Ongoing discussions aim to further boost exports from India through new models of cooperation. Key connectivity initiatives, such as the International North-South Transport Corridor and the Chennai-Vladivostok Eastern Maritime Corridor, are central to strengthening ties.

Additionally, both nations are focused on collaboration in developing the Russian Far East and advancing research, logistics, and training in the Arctic region. This synergy between Russia’s pivot to the East and India’s initiatives like Atmanirbhar Bharat and Make in India is poised to drive further growth in their bilateral cooperation.
