Foreign Minister Lin Chia-lung received a contingent led by Philip J. Pierre, St. Lucia’s prime minister, Oct. 27 in Taipei City.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, St. Lucia’s Amb. Robert K. Lewis and Huang Yu-ling, secretary general of the Taipei City-based International Cooperation and Development Fund, were also present for the event.
Lin thanked Pierre for the warm welcome he was given during his 2024 visit to the Caribbean ally and discussed the fruitful results of the two countries’ technological cooperation. He added that he hoped to see further cooperation under the framework of integrated diplomacy and the Diplomatic Allies Prosperity Project.
The MOFA said that in response Pierre expressed appreciation for Taiwan’s long-standing support of St. Lucia’s social development.
