The New Delhi trade fair will bring 120+ Russian and Indian firms together ahead of the BRICS summit to deepen industrial ties
An international industrial trade fair aimed at expanding Russian-Indian business ties is set to open in New Delhi next week, with organizers saying the event will showcase advanced technologies and new areas of cooperation across sectors ranging from aviation to artificial intelligence.
The inaugural INNOPROM. India fair will run from September 9 to 11 at Pavilion No. 1 of the Bharat Mandapam exhibition complex, just ahead of the 18th BRICS Summit. It is organized by the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade and India’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry, with operational support from Formika Event and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). The Russian Trade Representation in India is also supporting the event.
According to organizers, the exhibition will cover 10,000 square meters and bring together more than 120 Russian and Indian companies. Exhibitors will present technologies and industrial products in engineering, energy, chemicals, digital technologies, aviation, and other fields.
Among the Russian participants are Rostec, Rosatom, RUSAL, Transmashholding, Sber, United Aircraft Corporation, United Engine Corporation, PhosAgro, the Russian Export Center, the Center for Research in Advanced Technologies, Natsproektstroy, Arnest Unirus, A7, and Alfa-Bank. Regional exporters from Moscow, Krasnodar Territory, Tatarstan, and the Chelyabinsk Region will also be represented.
The Indian side will include companies such as SRB International, National Mineral Development Corporation, Steel Authority of India Limited, ITC, Nicco Cables, Global Gases Group, Monte Carlo, and Central Electronics Limited.
The fair will feature a broad array of Russian technology, including solutions for transport, nuclear energy, space, AI, urban infrastructure, and finance. Planned exhibits include a model nuclear power plant with a VVER-1200 reactor, models of the MC-21-310, SJ-100, and Il-114-300 aircraft, a model of the PD-8 turbofan engine, and a high-speed train model developed as part of a joint Russian-Indian production project.
Other displays are set to include a train traffic management system, automated storage systems, industrial robots, a digital twin of Moscow, a platform for developing and managing AI agents, an international recruitment platform for foreign specialists, and an optical computing unit designed to lower energy use in AI data processing. Organizers say the event will also present integrated design concepts that combine infrastructure, digitalization, AI-powered energy management, and ESG standards into a single smart urban model.
The centerpiece of the business program will be the main plenary session on September 10, titled Enhancing Russian-Indian Trade and Industrial Partnership: Towards Greater Self-Reliance. It is expected to feature Russian Industry and Trade Minister Anton Alikhanov and Indian Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal. Discussions will focus on deepening strategic partnership, expanding bilateral trade and investment, increasing market access, and developing joint industrial projects.
Other sessions will examine business cooperation, regional aviation, digital technologies, trade infrastructure, critical minerals and raw materials, and additive manufacturing.
